Printed Photo Organizing

Most people have every intention of doing something with their printed photos. They’re going to sort through the boxes, organize the albums, figure out a system. But life gets busy, the boxes stay in the closet, and years go by. Before long what started as a manageable collection has turned into something that feels impossible to tackle on your own.

Printed photos are different from digital files. They’re physical objects that take up space, get shuffled around, and deteriorate over time if they’re not stored properly. Fading, yellowing, stuck-together prints — these things happen gradually and quietly until one day you pull out a photo and realize it’s not what it used to be.

I help families across southeastern Wisconsin sort through their printed photo collections, organize what they have, and get everything stored properly so it lasts. Whether you have a single box of prints or decades worth of albums and envelopes piled up in storage, I handle the whole process — sorting, decluttering, organizing, and archiving — so you don’t have to figure it out alone.

How Printed Photo Organizing Works

  1. Complimentary discovery call – We talk about your collection, your goals, and how you’d like to enjoy your photos.
  2. Safe pick up – Your originals never leave my care. Everything is done in my photo lab.
  3. Sorting session – I remove duplicates, damaged prints, and blurry shots (I don’t toss anything, you get everything back, in a separate bin)
  4. Your choice of organizing – Chronological, by person, by life event, or a custom mix that feels right for your family.
  5. Labeling & Indexing – Every album or box gets clear labels and a simple index so anyone can find “Grandma’s wedding” or “1998 Disney trip” instantly.
  6. Archival-quality materials only – Acid-free sleeves, lignin-free boxes, and albums designed to last 100+ years.
  7. Joyful reveal – Your photos come home organized, and protected.
